The Driver Manager is responsible for leading a fleet of drivers. Acting as the liaison between the company and the driver, you will be their first point of contact for all aspects of the driver’s day to day activity. This is including, but not limited to, satellite macro updates, communication, availability for dispatch. Duties will also include overseeing the vehicles to confirm they’re in safe and working order, recruiting, mentoring, and training drivers.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be the primary point of contact for their fleet of drivers to ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Work closely with the planner to assist with drivers’ availability and hours of service available
- Create drivers’ trips in the TMS
- Accurately and promptly update information in the TMS as it pertains to the drivers within their fleet
- Provide supervision, direction, and guidance to the drivers to ensure on-time service meets or exceeds company and customer expectations
- Assist in the development of new procedures as required and increase efficiencies within their scope of work
- Update and inform dispatchers in a timely manner when issues arise with their customers to expedite resolution and aid in accessorial recoveries as needed
- Creation of customs paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments
- Assist other Operations Team members as required
- Effectively communicate and assist in conflict resolution with their drivers to maintain retention levels at or above company targeted expectations

**Educational Qualifications and Desired Skills**
- Minimum grade 12
- Good organizational skills
- 1-3 Years Previous Transportation Experience an asset
- Fleet TMS an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective Communicator
- This position may require travel up to 10% within North America

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
