The Junior Inclusion Facilitator - Camps & Programs is responsible for the safety and well-being of Recreation & Culture program participants with special needs (children, youth, adults), in either a one to one ratio or in a group setting. The Junior Inclusion Facilitator - Camps & Programs will include and facilitate the participant(s) in registered/drop in programs. The Junior Inclusion Facilitator - Camps & Programs will supervise, instruct, assist and guide the participant when needed and provide personal support care as required.

Job Requirements
- High school student with some experience working with children, youth and/or adults in recreational delivery settings including persons with special needs.
- Certifications such as Counsellor in Training Program, Inclusion Counsellor in Training, National Coaching Certification Program or equivalent.
- Ability to participate and assist participants in a variety of recreational activities which may include adapted activities, swimming, skating, and other sports including the ability to assist with lifts & transfers.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with participants, other staff, parents/guardians, participant support teams as well as the public.
- Good organizational and leadership skills.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification required.
- Lifesaving Society’s Safeguard certification required.
- Current High Five (Principles of Healthy Child Development) certification required.
- Behaviour Management Systems, Safe Management or Crisis Prevention and Intervention certification is an asset.
- Due to the nature of the contacts of this position a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town (Those 18 Years & Older) or the completion of Declaration of Minors - Working with Vulnerable Individuals Self Declaration Form (Those 17 Years and Younger) is required.
