Alberta Health Services (AHS) is hiring Environmental Services II (Cleaner/Housekeeper). We are looking for someone who is reliable, works well on their own, takes pride in their work, and prioritize safety. We'll train you to safely clean and disinfect our healthcare buildings. Environmental II position is responsible for following cleaning and disinfecting protocols while cleaning surfaces and patient equipment in assigned areas, such as patient rooms, examination and treatment rooms, emergency rooms, operating theatres, public and patient washrooms, offices and corridors. Duties include includes clean-up of blood and body fluids, washing walls, using a ladder/step stool to change privacy cubicle curtains, routine floor care (operate scrubbers, buffers/burnishers) and removing waste (e.g. garbage, shredding, biomedical) to designated holding areas. You will have to wear personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, gowns, eye protection) for long parts of their shift while following protocols to keep yourself safe. These tasks are to be completed with mínimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment. Environmental Services staff need to work in places that can sometimes be stressful. They must remain kind and respectful when interacting with patients and staff who may be under pressure. Shift schedules may include of day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Nestled amid rocky peaks, Canmore (population approximately 14,000) attracts outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. The terrain and numerous wildlife corridors contribute to its sprawling community. Located about 80 kilometers west of Calgary and 25 kilometers from Banff, it's a haven for nature lovers.

Description:
As an Environmental II, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with intensive or specialized cleaning within a hospital or facility associated with industrial cleaning supplies and by using powered industrial equipment. Your typical duties may include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance, thorough washing of ceilings and windows and emptying hazardous waste. You may also provide training/orientation to Environmental staff.

**Required Qualifications**:
