**Position Summary**:
A female individual with depression, anxiety, developmental delays and BPD is looking for a Supportive Neighbor/Respite Provider. You will be available 24/7 via phone and provide in person support on weekends and evenings to help provide emotional support in times of distress. You will be driving the Individual to sporting games in the evenings and have Fridays and Sundays available when the child visits the house. The monthly income for this role is starting at $2386.65 per month, with additional general liability subsidy provided for a supportive roommate.

**Responsibilities**:

- Driving to all driving to all quadrants of the city and sometimes on the outskirts of the city,
- Taking the Individual swimming and sporting events
- Watching children's sporting games

**Home Environment**:
Your home can be located anywhere throughout the city as long as it is transit accessible. You have a private area, preferably a a separate unit in their house where the individual can have their child over for visits.
**About You**:
You are someone who is compassionate, attentive, easy going, patient and has a passion for working with people with disabilities. You have previous experience working with mental health. You are patient, dependable and are adaptable to last minute changes. You have proven critical thinking skills and aren’t afraid to try new things. You have a person-centered approach and will take the time to really get to know your client and act in their best interest, while maintaining professional boundaries. Preferably a female or a couple with child experience.
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum of a Diploma in the Human Services sector or Disability Sector
- Must provide valid class 5 drivers license and a reliable vehicle with minimum $2,000,000 liability insurance
- Intermediate in computer skills and administration skills
- Provide home insurance and commercial liability insurance
- Provide medical, technological, environmental, physical, and behavioural support
- Minimum required training in Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A
- Is good around children and babies
- Home visit required

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Previous knowledge in mental health and training in ASIST would be an asset
- Previously trained and have the knowledge of medication administration
- One to two years relevant experience in the human services field would be an asset
- Relevant trainings such as Non-violent Crises Intervention, Abuse Prevention Response Protocol, and Positive Behavior Supports, etc.
- Additional training requirements upon hiring would be Trauma Informed Care, Naloxone, Mental Health First Aid
