Required Qualifications:
1. A doctoral degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related discipline is required. ABD applicants may be considered for this faculty position, given the degree’s completion will be within 12 months of the first semester of employment.
2. Preference will be given to applicants with two or more years of managerial industry experience.
3. Experience teaching within higher education at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor or higher preferred; preference given to those able to teach across the curriculum.
4. Preference given to those with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
5. Interpersonal skills to build and manage partnerships inside and outside the International School of Hospitality, Sports, & Tourism Management and the University at large, including the hospitality and tourism industry in British Columbia.
6. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty and university administration.
Salary and benefits are competitive with peer institutions with hiring range of $110,000-$120,000CAD. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
