Agropur is looking for Laboratory Technician to join is Truro team for the night shift.

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the laboratory Technician supports our quality assurance and food safety operations. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and testing product samples, preparing and plating media, and ensuring compliance with our HACCP plan and Good Manufacturing Practices. Your work will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety through routine monitoring, documentation, and pre-operational inspections.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 11am PM to 7am AM.

- Salary range 002: 50 400$ to 63 000$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

**What’s involved in this role**:
More specifically, the Truro Laboratory Technician’s responsibilities will include:

- Gather samples from production floor for product testing.
- Test samples for compliance.
- Prepare media for plating samples.
- Plate samples for incubation and reading them when appropriate.
- Compete all documentation required for testing product sampling and the verification of results.
- Ensure good manufacturing practices and procedures are followed as outlined in our written HACCP plan.
- Conduct product monitoring checks and complete product evaluations.
- Conduct pre-operational activities (visual inspection, food contact surface swabbing).

**What you need to join our team**:

- Post-secondary education in biology, chemistry, or related science.
- 1-3 years of experience in food industry laboratories.
- Knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Availability for the night shift Monday to Friday 11h PM to 7h AM.
