**JOB SUMMARY**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Inspect products, materials, and production processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulations.
- Perform routine tests and checks on products, processes, and raw materials, documenting results accurately.
- Identify and report any quality and food safety issues, defects, or non-conformities to the relevant teams and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems, including GMPs, allergen management, training, data analysis, swabbing, root cause investigation and CAPA implementation.
- Identify, segregate and hold non-conforming product and communicate the action with the management team for timely resolution of the issue.
- Investigate quality non-conformances and customer complaints, investigate root causes, follow-up with appropriate preventive actions in order to eliminate reoccurrences.
- Perform daily quality checks and tasks assigned at various stages of the manufacturing process:

- Receiving ingredients, COA verification
- Line pre-operational check, and Changeover verification
- Mixing and Packaging records verification
- Product quality check and sensory evaluations
- Perform finished product packaging check and label verification
- Perform Metal Detector verification
- Perform regular equipment calibrations, document and communicate deviations accordingly.
- Ensure effective cleaning verification by performing ATP swabbing.
- Deliver and participate in huddle communication with plant team members
- Participate in continuous improvement projects (product development, HACCP plan, consumer complaints, OPL, etc).
- Support Product Development team in launching new products.
- Promote the company’s Food Safety Culture, and values of cooperation, teamwork, creative thinking and responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Available to work on shifts with flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as per production requirement.
- Experience with continuous improvement, GMP, HACCP and product testing would be considered an asset.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in Food Safety, or food production or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a food production or bakery environment.
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Demonstrable proficiency in all modules of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment

**COMPENSATION**
