You understand the connection between the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of total rewards programs and how they enhance the organization’s ability to attract, develop, engage, and retain a talented and high performing workforce.
A typical day for the Classification & Total Rewards Consultant
- Oversee compensation and classification reviews.
- Develop cutting edge plans, policies, programs and practices in the area of total rewards, with a focus on compensation, pension and benefits.
- Ensure compensation and benefits programs are legally compliant and help the organization be competitive in the industry and market.
- Monitor and analyze organizational effects of changes to the design, maintenance and administration of all compensation, benefits, pension and other reward programs.
- Coordinate and lead special projects and initiatives for HR Services and work collaboratively with other business areas within the organization.
What you bring
- University degree in business, human resources, or in a related field required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated progressive experience in classification, compensation and benefits analysis.
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Working knowledge of budget review, percentage and proration.
- Thorough understanding of organizational design, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and administrative practices related to those factors.
- Comfort working with diverse stakeholders who have diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a highly confidential environment requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion.
