Our 61,000 square foot facility allows us to offer our customer base an expanded range of injection molding equipment, with presses ranging in tonnage from 28 to 2500 ton, along with new automation equipment to handle your extended run or touch sensitive requirements.

We are currently looking for **Set-up Technicians** to join our team in **Kitchener, Ontario** on **Nights (10:45PM - 7:00AM plus $1.00/hr shift premium).**

The Set Up Technician position is responsible for the tear down and set up of injection molds & workstations as per the production schedule. Ensure that all company procedures and policies are followed to ensure the safe and proper set up/tear down of molds. Communicate/coordinate with multiple departments during the set up & tear down of molds/workstations to ensure tools and resources are prepared accordingly. The main objective of the technician is to ensure the safe and the consistency of the workstation & set up times, as well as to help solve any issues that arise and help deal with the situations immediately.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITES**

**_Processing & Production_** - **80%**
- Perform teardown & setup and of the injection molds, all auxiliary equipment and all secondary production equipment while ensuring that safety and quality are the prime initiative.
- Independently perform routine machine and mold maintenance tasks and minor repairs on all production equipment.
- Make minor adjustments to robot programs and end of arm tooling
- Work along side Process Technicians, Resin Technicians & Robotics Technicians to ensure the successful & continual start up of molds
- Detailed completion & tracking of start-up documentation and other standard operating procedures.
- Support engineering processes development, manufacturing procedures development, standardized work procedures, work instruction, cycle times, data collection and analysis, estimates, schedules, test results, corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement, and preparing associated reports.
- Assist with special projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned

**_Miscellaneous Tasks_** 10%
- Participate in shift hand off meetings to ensure successful transfer of knowledge.
- Attend production scheduling, quality & training meetings.
- Mentor and guide other set up & resin technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2 or more years of experience of setting plastic injection molds.
- Basic to medium ability to operate & adjust robots & end of arm tooling.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes.
- Demonstrated Plastic/Automation manufacturing experience.

**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**
- Basic to medium experience in running plastic injection molding machines.
- Experience in the automotive or medical industry.
