We are looking for a motivated Manager, Case Management Research Project to join our Settlement team

**POSITION FUNCTION**:
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, the Manager, Settlement Case Management Research Program manages the proposed research program which aims to test existing Settlement Case Management interventions and produce an evidence and outcome-based Settlement Case Management service model.

The new interventions will benefit vulnerable newcomers including Government Assisted Refugees (GARs), Privately Sponsored Refugees (PSRs) and Newcomers with complex and multiple barriers.

The project will maximize its rigour and credibility by partnering with settlement organizations in B.C. that provide settlement case management programs, as well as with Dr. Miu Chung Yan from the University of British Columbia.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manages all aspects of programs including contractual obligations set out by funders such as outcomes/outputs, reporting, and evaluation in collaboration with the Community Based Researcher
- Works closely with community partners/subcontractors to support and promote implementation of the research project and collaborative initiatives
- Manages financial aspects of contract including budget planning, monitoring of program expenditures, financial statements, and variances
- Coordinates, plans, and facilitates inter-agency meetings including working groups
- Hires, trains, supervises administration staff as needed

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be knowledgeable about Government-funded programs, staff supervision, community development practices and programming (with an emphasis on capacity building and coordination), financial management, and human resource management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Research, Social Work, Psychology, Human Development (Family Studies and Related Services), or a degree or diploma in a related field, or the equivalent combination of 5 years settlement work experience and formal academic coursework.
- Able to build relationships with stakeholders
- Able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and at different levels throughout the organization
- Able to work independently and lead a team
- Able to work with multiple delivery partners
- Skilled in conflict resolution, cross-culture communication, community development, marketing, presentation, public speaking, research and analysis.
- Organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Tactful, discrete, diplomatic, patient, flexible

**HOURS**:
part-time, 24 hours/week
