Fuel Farm Lead

15 Wing, headquartered in Moose Jaw, is the centre of RCAF aircrew training and is comprised of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) and 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (CF Snowbirds) both located in Moose Jaw, SK. The Wing is the principal site of the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC). 15 Wing is responsible for three different aircraft platforms that include: CT-156 Harvard II, CT-155 Hawk, CT-114 Tutor, and any visiting aircraft.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the military customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality and efficient Air Traffic Management System maintenance, Aeronautical information services and VFR air traffic services to DND's NFTC program. Serco Canada Inc. is looking for a Fuel Farm Lead / FMO in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The successful individual will be responsible to The Fuel Farm FMO is responsible for all duties related to the fuel farm as per 15 Wing Ground Operations Manual and Guidelines.

The hourly rate for this position is $31.43.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead day to day operations of the fueling fleet
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the quality of the fuel.
- Ensure adequate resources are available to operate the terminal.
- Lead Fuelers in performance of section tasks.
- Train and qualify newly hired fuel services personnel
- Ensure all deliverables and other reports are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor and coordinate maintenance of the fuel farm
- Conduct internal audits (daily walk arounds, refueler circle checks, etc).
- Assist with fueling various aircraft in a safe, accurate and timely manner as per 15 Wing Airport Operations Manual.
- Receive bulk fuel into storage as per 15 Wing Airport Operations Manual.
- Maintain the Quality Assurance Fuel Program by performing various Quality Control Checks as per 15 Wing Airport Operations Manual.
- Conducts general inspections of fueling vehicles and equipment ensuring good working condition and cleanliness.
- Manage all aspects of its business with regards to prevention of pollution and minimize or eliminate adverse environmental and health impacts. This will be achieved by taking into consideration and complying with federal, provincial and municipal regulations and guidelines, (whichever is the more stringent) in conjunction with customer, employee and public requirements and concerns.
- Perform all job responsibilities by adhering to the prescribed Safety Standards.
- Initiate and process required documentation.
- Assist with all airside/ground support duties when necessary / FMO etc.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the fuel farm when necessary.
- Assist with snow removal from stairways and walkways around the fueling areas, when necessary.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures in adherence with Serco standards
- Responsible for being aware of any QA/HSE programs and certifications to which the organization subscribes and following any policies or procedures that are in place.
- Other duties as relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; College diploma considered an asset
- 10 years’ experience in working in around bulk fuel terminals.
- Computer skills in MS Office an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpretation skills.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 and 5 civ Airbrake SK driver's license.
- Radio License (aeronautical)
- RDDC
- High level of organizational skills necessary.
- Capable of working outdoors in variable weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical exertion such as standing, walking, climbing and lifting, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Ability to work around extreme temperatures, moving machinery, loud noises or fumes.
- Must be able to work up to 60 feet above the ground.
- Previous experience with manual handling principles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability security clearance is required. May be required to upgrade to Secret Level II (dependent upon customer’s security requirements).
