**Wage**:$17.00 per hour

**Schedule**: Fridays 5:00pm-8:00pm

**Practice Location**: University of Winnipeg RecPlex

**Age Group**: 9-13 year old females

**Job Summary**: The Girls Soccer Program brings together over 40 female identifying youth between the ages of 9-13 to learn basic soccer skills, learn to work together as a team and learn the importance of being physically active in a safe, supportive environment. As a Coach you will be responsible for organizing and leading warm up, drills, and scrimmages focusing on developing fundamental soccer skills, game knowledge, and instilling a passion for sport and physical activity. You will have a minimum of 6 support staff to assist in the program and with small group leadership.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize and lead sessions including warm-ups, drills, and scrimmages
- Provide leadership and support to staff during sessions
- Motivate and inspire young athletes while creating an emotionally and physically safe sport environment.
- Mentor and motivate young athletes to develop their skills and to have fun
- Provide feedback and guidance to athletes on their performance
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a positive and supportive team environment
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure the facility is safe and clean

**Required Skills and Abilities**:

- Previous coaching experience in youth sports
- Strong knowledge of soccer skills, rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Provide clear police record check with vulnerable sector search (PVSC) and child abuse registry checks obtained within the past 6 months
- Respect in Sport Certification or willing to obtain

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
