**Position Summary**: Parkwood Senior’s Community is recruiting a friendly, self-motivated individual to join our housekeeping team. This position is pivotal to maintaining and enhancing the warm, clean and welcoming environment found in our resident, community and staff spaces. As part of the housekeeping team, you would be responsible for maintaining Resident Rooms and common areas, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, washroom cleaning and bed making.

**Qualifications**:

- Housekeeping experience an asset

**Position: 30 hours weekly**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Stock and replenish supplies in restrooms and common areas
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed

**Skills**:

- Ability to perform lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning products
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Customer service-oriented mindset to ensure customer satisfaction

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From $17.96 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
