Since 2012 Bitches Walking Dogs (bwd Petcare) has been Ottawa’s premium 'on-leash only' dog walking and pet care provider, and at this exciting time of growth, we are currently seeking a professional and reliable individual to operate our newest venture at bwd Petcare; Bitches Washing Dogs We’re looking for someone who is first and foremost an exceptional Groomer, a master of time management, respectful and compassionate, possesses a G license, has great attention to detail and cleanliness, and who can deliver excellent customer service.

You’ll be given the unique opportunity to provide your valuable insights and work alongside us as we outfit and expand our newest Petcare Services for our valued, pre-established, and loyal clientele -and beyond

**We are looking for someone**:

- professionally certified and experienced
- located within the City of Ottawa
- available daytime weekdays
- availability evenings and weekends is a plus
- with a G license, ability to drive the vehicle as needed, and who has the ability to commute to our mobile grooming van consistently each day at a central Ottawa location
- technologically literate with a smartphone equipped with data and camera
- someone who enjoys being physically active within a mobile grooming environment
- ability to stand for a minimum of two hours and lift animals up to 50lbs daily
- with strong written and oral communication skills
- with a clear criminal record check (must provide bwd with a copy)
- with great attention to detail and cleanliness
- reliable, punctual, and eager to learn & grow in a small, local, and female-owned business

The essential responsibilities of a bwd Mobile Groomer includes the following:

- arrive on-time to all appointments
- fill out the digital reports after completed appointments
- work in a mobile grooming environment in all weather conditions
- maintain a clean working environment
- uphold exceptional customer service
- working with small and large breeds
- keep up one’s knowledge of animale care, hygiene, and health care

**Grooming Requirements**:

- Dematting and Detangling
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying
- Nail trimming, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning
- Grooming and styling according to owner’s instructions/grooming standards
- Accommodating special requests (within reason)
- Identifying pet health issues, such as ear infections, skin and tooth conditions, etc. -and informing owners of these observations
- Ensuring pet safety during grooming process
- _Other_ needs; decompression walking/potty-break (possibly), external anal gland expression, nail dremel, ear plucking, eye cleaning, paw pad shave, paws and/or face cleanup, sanitary cleanup
