**CG Environment Artist**

Ghost VFX

**Responsibilities**:

- Create high-level, photo-real CG environments for TV and film productions
- Collaborate with supervisors, team members and production staff to effectively and efficiently meet client expectations
- Work with CG/VFX Supervisors to assist in quoting and planning methodology solutions

**Required Skills**:

- 3 years experience in VFX production using Maya, Houdini, for broadcast television, streaming media and/or features, or equivalent skills
- Proficiency in modeling, texturing, look dev and lighting hard-surface and organic CG ob-jects, rendering and basic animation
- Specialty in creating CG environments, terrains, elements, using appropriate software and methodology
- A proven ability in creating photo-real CG elements, rendering multiple passes for live-action integration
- A proven eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting
- Ability to work independently, solve creative problems efficiently, communicate ideas and concerns effectively, coordinate with other departments

**Preferred Skills**:

- Prior company experience
- Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups
- Exceptional organization skills balancing multiple shows and tasks.
- Reliable, with good timekeeping and the ability to meet deadlines
- Generalist experience in other software packages is a plus, i.e. Nuke, Photoshop, Mari, Mudbox, Unreal, ZBrush, 3D Equalizer, 3DS Max, V-Ray
- Varied skill set such as tracking, matchmove, layout, previs, animation, rigging, crowds is a plus

**Qualifications**:

- Demo reel demonstrating proficiency and experience
- BC Residency is a requirement; we are not able to offer remote work to employees in other provinces or countries
- We are not able to offer LMIA work permits or PR/PNP sponsorship. Working Holiday, NAFTA or Open Permits can be considered.

**Education**:

- High School education or equivalent required
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred
- Degree, diploma or certificate in visual effects, animation, design, graphics or other related field, or equivalent experience
