**Mi’kmaw Bursary Program**

Our five-year community investment strategy focuses on supporting programs, organizations, and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, help to remove barriers, and advance education and drive awareness in our communities.

**Eligibility & Selection Criteria**
- Applicants must be a registered Mi’kmaw person with one of the thirteen Mi’kmaw communities in Nova Scotia.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of Nova Scotia.
- Recipients are selected based on demonstration of leadership, involvement with the Mi’kmaw community(s), participation in extra-curricular activities, and an essay. Academic standing will be considered as part of the selection process.

This bursary will not be awarded in conjunction with any other Nova Scotia Power scholarship or bursary and will not be awarded for the pursuit of graduate studies.

- High School transcript (Grade 10-12, including fall semester marks) or University transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
