**Overview**:
**The Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver (EFry)** is a charitable organization that supports women, girls, and children at risk, involved in or affected by cycles of poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and crime.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
- Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm).
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Assist with the pick and delivery of items such as donations
- Assist with painting and other maintenance tasks.
- Report to their supervisor for issues.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Proven experience in other similar position
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity

**Education & Training**:

- Completion of Grade 12 including vocational training courses (maintenance/repair courses), or the equivalent education and experience is typically required for this position.
- Four years of demonstrated maintenance experience that includes repairs and preventative maintenance is required.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s license.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to organize work and/or carry out maintenance duties with independence.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively under general supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with program staff and residents
- Ability to operate power and other tools and equipment.
- Ability to drive a light truck or van.

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $25.26-$27.00 per hour
