We are proud to have a professional team of health care providers trained to ensure the comfort, happiness and well-being to each of our 96 residents. To assist us in continuing this mission, we are currently seeking a Casual Personal Support Worker. This position has no set schedule or guaranteed hours and shifts will be available on a call in basis.

**Job duties**:

- Ensures optimal quality of life for each resident by the delivery of individualized care.
- Assists and promotes independence in activities of daily living
- Provides assistance during meals including serving residents based on nutritional needs
- Positions residents as needed
- Reports changes in the resident’s physical, mental and/or emotional condition promptly
- Implements restorative care programs as directed
- Participates in the plan of care
- Completes documentation records every shift
- Delivers customer service with residents, families, and the general public
- Supports and promotes a team approach.
- PSW Certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Current standard of Emergency First Aid and/or CPR certification.

Please note that if hired, your employment with Markhaven will be contingent on the results of a police vulnerable sector check and a two-step Mantoux tuberculosis test. A condition of employment with Markhaven, is requiring that all new hires have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada, due to the importance of protecting our residents, staff members and visitors from Covid-19.

**Salary**: From $20.94 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PSW Certification (required)
