**Company Overview**:
Trans-Ontario Express is a well-established logistics company based in Scarborough, ON, with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Our fleet consists of hundreds of trucks serving local, Western Canada, Quebec, and the USA. We specialize in providing domestic transportation services and are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager / Domestic Dispatcher to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Coordination**: Communicate with customers to understand and arrange freight requirements.
- **Freight Booking**: Book freight on Load Link and negotiate pricing with vendors.
- **Pickup/Delivery Management**: Arrange the timely pickup and delivery of client orders with drivers.
- **Shipment Monitoring**: Track and trace shipments, providing real-time status updates to clients.
- **Driver & Agent Interaction**: Manage communication with drivers and agents to ensure smooth operations.
- **Inbound/Outbound Management**: Handle inbound and outbound trailers specifically from Montreal.
- **Process Understanding**: Quickly grasp and adapt to various customer, vendor, partner processes and requirements.
- **Shipment Details**: Have a sound knowledge of shipment dimensions, weight, and all relevant shipping details.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in LTL (Less-than-Truckload) shipments.
- **Geographical Knowledge**: Solid understanding of Canadian geography, particularly for Ontario and Quebec.
- **Communication Skills**: Fluent in English with clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- **Multi-tasking**: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- **Software Knowledge**: Experience with Load Link, PC Miler, or other mapping software is an asset.
- **Dangerous Goods Knowledge**: Familiarity with handling dangerous goods is also a plus.
- **Team Player**: Capable of contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- **Pressure Handling**: Strong ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Familiarity with asset-based carriers and trailers.
- Excellent tracking and tracing abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly about internal systems, customer needs, and operational processes.
