The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake’s Teck Pioneer Residence is seeking a PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER, Permanent / Part-time / Union CUPE 1074

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Personal Support Worker will provide assistance to the residents in accordance with the multidisciplinary care plans. The Personal Support Worker must also assist each resident to maintain his/her independence and promote dignity, respect, and privacy while ensuring safe personal care.

Hours of work: Varies, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights.

Compensation: $ 22.48 per hour as per Collective Agreement plus $3.00 per hour Government top-up.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Must be a graduate from a Ministry of Education approved course with the designation of Personal Support Worker.
- Gerontology experience in a Long-Term Care Home with responsibilities for a group of residents is considered an asset.
- Must have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent record keeping and communication skills.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must have proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations.
