Ground Maintenance Technician

Overview:
The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe environment. The key role would be to repair and maintenance of equipment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Grounds Maintenance Technician will follow task lists that give direction to tasks within the resort.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on resort grounds equipment when needed.
- Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling when needed.
- Sweep walkway of debris and clearing garbage around the resort.
- Set up machine and make signs and name tags.
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Customer Service Skills
- Physical Coordination: The position requires physical, repetitive tasks to be completed including the following actions: move, lift, carry, push, pull, sit, bend, crouch, kneel and stand. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work as a part of a team.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Exposure to chemicals.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Valid driver license

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
