**Job Title**: | Laser Operator

**Reports to**: | Laser Supervisor

**Job Summary**:

- Produces machined parts by setting up and operating manual/laser machinery; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce work according to the required manufacturing standards, work instructions, work order requirements and safety standards.
- Learns by studying work orders, blueprints, materials and specifications.
- Learns stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to international standards.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Any task or duties from your supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical Aptitude, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Attention to Detail, Judgment, Able to work within a team.
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Basic computer skills required.
- CNC experience is an asset.
- Ability to use tape measure and venier caliper preferred
- Required, High school diploma or GED

- Vision - up close fine work
