We are currently seeking a property maintenance technician to contribute to the success and operation of Rockport Boat Line.
Rockport, Ontario is a quaint village located in heart of the 1000 Islands, an internationally known tourism destination, offering seasonal sightseeing boat tours, waterfront dining and accommodations on the St. Lawrence River. The 1000 Islands region is also home to the famous Boldt Castle on Heart Island.
Our location provides the most unique and scenic backdrop highly sought by both tourists and residents. Along with being the leading cruise operator in the 1000 islands, Rockport Boat Line operate three distinct restaurants and an eleven-room motel on the river’s edge.
Canadian owned and operated for over 60 years, we have set a high standard for customer service with an entrepreneurial approach to touring and serving guests from all over the globe.
Under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the property maintenance include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties Include:
- Perform routine general maintenance and cleaning of property and buildings
- Perform Repairs and installations of new equipment and items
- Diagnose and repair minor issues throughout the property
- Perform Lanscaping and lawn care maintenance throughout the property
- Manage and remove waste on a routine schedule.
- Preform miscellaneous jobs as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance preferred; training will be provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with mínimal supervision.
