Shop Supervisor

Meaford Rotary Thrift Shop Supervisor

**Reports to**: Manager

**Not for Profit**: Staffed by Volunteers

**Hours**: Part-time includes weekends and evenings

Minimum 11 hours per week

**Wages**: $18.00/hour

**Duties**:

- Manages the daily operations of the Thrift Shop
- Covers shop operation in absence of the Manager
- Coordinate Volunteer activities
- Must become familiar with all aspects of the Shop: Sorting, Pricing, Cash, Opening and Closing
- Coverage of cash responsibilities if a volunteer is not available and trained.
- Customer Service: being available to support customers questions and concerns.
- Conflict resolution
- Supports the Manager with suggestions on store layout, best practices, volunteer feedback
- Assists with elevator operation.
- Confidentiality
- Other duties as required note: to be trained to manage the daily operations of the shop without supervision

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with volunteers/in a volunteer environment
- Retail Experience
- Capable of leading a team
- Cashier experience
- Able to lift 15 to 20 lbs

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
