HealthOne Medical Centre located in North York, Ontario, is a busy, high patient-volume clinic looking for:
- Family Physicians, Full-time, Permanent. Visible minorities, indigenous peoples and newcomers to Canada are welcome.
Our clinic is conveniently located on the subway line at
- North York: 5292 Yonge St, North York ON M2N 5P9 (On Yonge St. between Sheppard and Finch)
**Remuneration**:
- Fee-for-service with a competitive fee-split arrangement between the Family Physician and the Clinic
**Benefits**:
- Services offered within the multi-disciplinary clinic offered at cost.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 1 year of family physician work experience.
**Education**:
- Medical Degree from a Recognized University
- Licensed to practice as a Family Physician in Ontario (CPSO)
**Language**:
- English
**License**:
- CPSO required.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Perform and assist in minor routine surgery
- Provide emergency care
- Provide acute care management
- Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention
- Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
- Perform patient advocacy role
- Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
- Provide continuous care to patients
- Supervise home care services
- Report births, deaths, and contagious and other diseases to governmental authorities.
