Filling & Packaging Operator

Agrisan Specialty Chemical and Pharmaceutical (a CG Wellington company) is an essential service manufacturer of specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals, located in Arthur, Ontario. This position is responsible for filling, labelling and packaging of products.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Operate various process equipment as required including basic trouble shooting skills.
- Set-up and take-down equipment required for process operations (e.g. scales, pumps, labelers, fillers)
- Stage materials for process operations (e.g. packaging components for filling)
- Operate other ancillary equipment as required such as pumps and weighing scales.
- Clean and maintain the equipment and immediate work area throughout the shift.
- Complete relevant documentation completely and accurately.
- Perform manual tasks, requiring care and attention to avoid injury to self or others.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and area
- Strictly adheres to GMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Guidelines.
- Consult with Quality Team and adhere to requirements such as in-process adjustments and sampling.
- Interact other departments in a professional manner.
- Wear proper PPE when performing duties.
- Wash and rinse containers to support Agrisan’s recycled container program.
- Sleeve and label containers
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Capable of reaching, lifting (50 lb.) and working from a platform.
- Capable of lifting and meeting the physical demands of this position, including extended periods of standing, reaching and lifting.
- Works cooperatively in teams communicates clearly and has effective listening skills.
- Able to multi-task and adapt to change.
- Tow motor experience is an asset but not required. Great strategic and creative thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
