Constantly changing regulatory requirements have led to the rapid growth in the Area of Transfer Pricing. Reporting to the AVP Transfer Pricing & International, the Manager, Transfer Pricing will be a key member of the Transfer Pricing Team within Group Tax. The team is responsible for ensuring that all inter-company transactions are conducted at arm's length, adhere to the transfer pricing requirements for each tax jurisdiction and supporting the business units with respect to related party transactions.

The Manager, Transfer Pricing will work with the team in all stages of the transfer pricing cycle, which includes advisory and compliance. The Manager, Transfer Pricing will work closely with Finance and business units to identify, monitor and report all related party transactions. Together, with the AVP Transfer Pricing & International, the Manager, Transfer Pricing will prepare the Canada and US transfer pricing tax compliance and financial statement reporting requirements, assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation in select Asia jurisdictions and advise on fees charged to meet the arm’s length principle.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The Manager, Transfer Pricing will be responsible for the following:

- Manage and lead the Canadian and US Tax compliance as it relates to affiliate transactions
- Support the team in select benchmarking research and market comparability analysis for related party transactions
- Providing an integrated approach to transfer pricing by preparing documents and assisting to defend the transfer pricing policy in audits
- Preparation and / or review of transfer pricing documentation for Manulife subsidiaries in Asia
- Create and run reports from the General Ledger to support and analyze global related party transactions
- Manage the forecast and year end true up process
- Update the internal Transfer Pricing SharePoint site
- Develop Transfer Pricing tax knowledge and keep current on legislative changes
- Advise stakeholders of transfer pricing implications for select transactions
- Contribute to other tax transformation projects and initiatives when they arise

**Job Requirements**:

- Qualified CPA, CA or CGA
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Tax, Transfer Pricing or Finance
- Keen attention to detail and solid understanding of account reporting as it pertains to expense management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, use of macros and pivot tables. Knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
- Ability to manage large quantities of data and present information in a concise manner
- Ability to communicate well across all mediums and with both internal and external relationships.
- Organizational skills necessary to meet deadlines, prioritize projects, and process multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of OECD transfer pricing regulations and experience in tax research
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a changing environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the finance and tax community to advocate transfer pricing rules and regulations
