Position Summary
Working as part of the Building Maintenance team, the Building Maintenance student is primarily responsible for the following:
Major Responsibilities
- Maintenance of existing green spaces which would include but not limited to mowing various properties / sidewalk medians, maintaining shrubs/gardens, fertilizing, new planting and restoration of existing if needed
- Minor janitorial duties
- Maintains supply of cleaning and sanitary products for janitorial staff and/or contract cleaning services
- Painting as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid G - Ontario Driver’s Licence
- Ability to handle power tools, e.g. lawn mower
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to perform physical labor
Conditions of Employment
- To qualify as a student, you must be in full-time attendance in your graduating year of High School or at a Post-Secondary School prior to summer employment and be returning to a Post Secondary School on a full-time basis in the fall of this year.

A Criminal Records Check is a CRC which searches the National repository for criminal records in Canada via the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). It also identifies pending criminal code charges and outstanding warrants.
