We are currently recruiting for the following opportunity in the **Belleville, Ontario.**

**SHIFT**:
12 hour - Continental Shift - rotating every 2 weeks - Sanitation Cleaner

(Position is Part time/ Call in)

**Responsibilities**
- Strips and finishes hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required.
- Transports garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor.
- Cleans glass areas/overheads requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach.
- Cleans washroom floors including washing, stripping and finishing.
- Cleans overheads/walls/floors/stairwells where ladders of aerial lifts are required.
- Maintains and carries out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers and larger self propelled machines.
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs (garbage removal, etc.)
- Hosing down floors and equipment
- Must have clean steel toed, non-slip work boots, preferably waterproof
- Required to work in an environment that is hot, wet & humid
- Wear employer-specified protective gear, including two pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc.
- Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear)
- Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during long periods of time
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines established by spec for this position
- Additional duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma,
- food industry experience and knowledge of cleaning in a food plant environment.
- Strong communications skills both written and oral are required.
- Sanitation experience for a major food plant would be an asset.

**Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.**
