**Opportunity**

**Position**:We are seeking a passionate and organized individual with exceptional communication skills to join our team in the role of **Centre Manager** at our **Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre** location in **Brockville, ON**. The Centre Manager is accountable for the overall operations of the Animal Centre including animal care, communications with the provincial office, short-term and long-term planning, budgeting, staffing, volunteer management and other exciting centre activities.

**Location**:Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre -Brockville, ON

**A Typical Day**
- Monitor the annual Centre operational budget, including operating expenses, revenue and capital expenditures
- Oversee staff in promoting support for the health and behavioural needs of all animals while also ensuring all animal care, infectious disease and facility cleaning protocols/policies are followed
- Brings a passion for people when overseeing specific onboarding activities including orientating, scheduling, training, motivating and supervising staff to ensure collaboration in meeting the goals and objectives of the Ontario SPCA
- Administrative duties to support in the overall operations of the animal centre
- Keep detailed records on employee training and provide regular support to staff to ensure employee satisfaction and a positive working environment are maintained
- Oversee the centre volunteer program including recognition, training, supervision and support
- Special projects as designated by the Provincial Manager, Community Programming and Animal Centre Services or the Chief Veterinary Officer

**Do You Have What it Takes?**
- College Diploma in Business Management or related education plus work experience required
- 2 years of supervisory and/or leadership experience
- 1 year of customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Animal care work experience
- Volunteer management experience an asset
- Ability to lift 18 kg (40lbs) and pull 45 kg (100lbs)
- Valid G drivers license
- Open availability including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- College Certificate in Animal Care or fundraising preferred
- RVT credential an asset
- Police clearance certificate
