**Rate of Pay: $34.54 - $44.03 per hour**

The Spiritual Care Associate's primary focus is to provide spiritual care services at St. Joseph's Care Group's long
- term care facilities: Hogarth Riverview Manor and Bethammi Nursing Home. As a member of the Spiritual Care team, the Associate will be responsible for the delivery of quality spiritual and religious care. The Associate provides an introduction to spiritual care services, completion of spiritual care assessments on newly admitted residents and collaboration with members of interdisciplinary care teams, residents, clients, families, visitors, staff and volunteers to provide support and therapeutic intervention upon request and/or as the need arises. The Associate will bring a strong sense of vocational identity in conjunction with substantial experience and the versatility of competencies to be able to attend persons who are in circumstances of significant loss.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Certification with CAPPE, advanced level preferred
- Faith community endorsement
- Experience in health care ministry, particularly working with geriatric and rehabilitation populations

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team structure
- Demonstrated ability to minister in a multi-faith context
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
