Part-time Turfcare

**PART TIME TURF CARE**

**Mid-April through September**

**REPORTS TO**:
Assistant Superintendents and Superintendent

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Responsible for performing routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; operate machinery involved in the mowing of turf and operates small hand-powered equipment. Part time grounds staff positions start approximately mid-April and can continue through September.

**JOB TASKS (DUTIES)**:
1. Mow greens, tees, collars, surrounds and rough as needed

2. Set tee markers and cups on greens when necessary

3. Operate hand mowers and string trimmers

4. Maintain sand bunkers as necessary

5. Maintain cart paths as necessary

6. Perform any other duties as directed by the Assistant Superintendents

**Qualifications**:
1. Able to work early morning shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

2. Requires general knowledge of and ability to use small power equipment.

3. Ability to follow verbal and written directions.

4. Ability to work in a team environment.

5. Physically capable of walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.

This position pays $15.75 per hour and is guaranteed 26hrs per week, though has the potential for more. Benefits of being an EPGCC team member include: eligibility for a post-secondary scholarship; weekly golf privileges; team uniform; and access to team social events.
