**North Bay Cardiology Echocardiography Sonographer position**
**Job Type**: Hiring 1 full time sonographer
**Schedule**:8 hour shifts
**Work Location**: In person at North Bay Cardiology office location.
**Compensation**: 40-50$ per hour depending on experience. Willing to work with new graduate sonographer.
**Start Date**: expected March 1 2025, Flexible start date
In our clinic you will have quite a fulfilling practice and see an extensive host of pathologies (heart failure, valvular disease, post Valve replacement, pericardial disease effusion/constriction, amyloidosis,) on a very regular basis. We utilize contrast to enhance LV opacification and assessment of valvular disease as well as performing agitated saline bubble studies. We are looking for additional team members to help take care of this diverse population.

**Education**:
- Graduate from a Canadian accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations.
- Evidence of organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Registered with College of Medical Technologists of Ontario.
- Registration with Sonography Canada (asset).
**Experience**:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Registered Cardiac sonographer (CMRITO) preferred
- Stress echo experience would be an asset

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills required,
- Demonstrated respect for and a willingness to learn from the professional knowledge of other members of the health care team

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures using independent judgment
- Prepare the preliminary reports for Echo and contrast echo.
- Administer IV contrast. Our on-site nurse will do I.V. Starts for contrast.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of procedures.
- Prepares for examinations by checking equipment and inventorying and restocking supplies; reviewing clinic schedules; reading physician orders for specific examinations; setting up equipment and entering patient information into system.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
