We are looking for an energetic and passionate person who is customer service focused and enjoys sharing their knowledge with others As the Department Lead you will mentor under the Department Manager for the Annual & Perennial plant categories.

**Overview of role**:

- Building sales and supporting our brand by providing outstanding service to our guests
- Sharing your plant knowledge - informing customers about plant care, the light requirements, how often to water - setting them up for success
- In partnership with the department manager, ensuring buying direction is on target based on analysis of weekly/monthly sales, current stock & customer trends with the goal of optimizing sales
- Receiving, pricing & ongoing plant maintenance - we only sell high quality, healthy plants
- During peak season we will look to you to provide daily direction to the annual & perennial sales team
- Working with the store merchandiser creating inspiring displays, managing product placement that is reflective of trend and supports brand messaging

**Is this you?**
- A passion for what we do - connecting people to nature and growing
- Are people focused and have a strong passion for retail
- A good knowledge base of annual & perennial plants (or a willingness to learn)
- 3+ years customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting
- Strong organization skills are self-directed, and you work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strength in Microsoft excel, and utilizing our POS system for sales reporting
- A positive attitude, you love working & collaborating within a team environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilities

This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions and environments

**This is a full-time position; compensation $22-24/hr
