Custodian/building Sanitation Worker

Experienced working in a manufacturing environment. Familiar working in a fast-paced environment. Experienced at performing general cleaning/sanitation throughout shift on production area. Experienced at performing general cleaning/sanitation of the equipment in WWTR and the building. Familiar at working with daily, weekly and monthly checklists for general cleaning/sanitation. Familiar at operating computer controls and monitors mechanical and utility systems in the WWTR. Experienced at performing wastewater treatment system duties. Experienced at operating a pallet jack. Able to work Monday-Thursday, 7am-4:30pm AND Friday, 8am-12pm. Always show up 10 minutes before your shift. You have reliable transportation to get to work on time. With a bright future and ambitious plans, the company continues to grow nation-wide and currently employs over 1700 passionate, dedicated employees. **Custodian/Building Sanitation worker (Permanent, Full-Time, Days, Monday-Friday)** - **Term**: Permanent, Full-Time, Days, Monday-Friday - **Shift** - Monday-Thursday, 7am-4:30pm AND - Friday, 8am-12pm - **Address**: 860 Trillium Drive, Kitchener, ON N2R 1K4 - **Pay Rate**: $20.67ph - **Overtime**: > 40 hours per week **General Duties**: - Know and abide by the company GMP policy. - Inform management of any machine or equipment malfunction in the WWTR. - Notifies supervisor and/or QA of any deficiencies, including potential nonconforming products. - Ensures all required documentation is completed accurately and on time. - Work as a team player to promote efficient operation. Help others when they may be in a difficult situation. - Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times. - Maintain good housekeeping in the work area. - Perform other duties when assigned by Supervisor. **Specific Duties**: - Work in a proactive manner. Address problems before they cause any issues to the machinery in the WWTR. - Maintain/perform chemical inventory and chemical room. - Document any hazards in writing to the Health and Safety Coordinator and Plant Manager. - Keep Plant Manager informed of any concerns. - Performs general cleaning/sanitation throughout shift on production area, equipment in WWTR and the building. - Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists designed tasks on and maintains records of scheduled frequency. - Completes Work Order Requests in a timely manner and record information correctly and legibly. - Operates a computer which controls and monitors mechanical and utility systems in the WWTR. - Responds to emergency situations, as required - Ensure that WWTR and tools are kept in a tidy organized manner and clean. - Ensure compliance with the HACCP program - Ensure all general custodian tasks are completed in a timely fashion throughout the workday, following the Custodian log. - Perform wastewater treatment system duties as required. - Clean up accidental chemical spills according to spill response procedures. - Perform other duties throughout the plant under the Plant Manager direction. - To assist in the repair and general cleanliness of other equipment throughout the plant. - May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; order parts as needed. - Must be able to document all required information accurately and legible. - Clean tools according to the written procedure. - Must be able to physically lift 25kgs on a regular basis in order to perform all job function requirements. - Must be able to operate a pallet jack. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.67 per hour Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Life insurance - Paid time off - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime Application question(s): - Experienced at performing general cleaning/sanitation throughout shift on production area?
