The Systems Innovation for Justice-Impacted Youth project is a five-year project which aims to transform the youth justice system to better address the needs of Black and racialized youth with developmental disabilities, by seeking out and implementing recommendations from youth, families, justice stakeholders, and community organizations, and working to increase the sector's capacity, collaboration, and knowledge. Through research, community consultations, policy review, service coordination and ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders, the project aims to:

- Identify and Address systemic gaps in how youth are supported within the justice system
- Develop solutions to improve access to services and resources
- Foster stronger collaboration among service providers to address siloed responses

Reporting to the Manager, Justice Services and with the support of the YOF Project Facilitator, the Project Lead will oversee the implementation of a five-year collaborative initiative aimed at improving justice system outcomes for Black and racialized youth with developmental disabilities in Toronto and the GTA. The role requires strategic leadership to manage stakeholder engagement, research activities, project governance, and reporting, ensuring alignment with grant deliverables and outcomes.

Strategic Leadership and Oversight
- Provide overall direction and leadership for the project, ensuring alignment with the grant objectives and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with project collaborative partners
- Develop and implement the project plan, integrating feedback from collaborative partners and stakeholders
- Lead the development and execution of a Theory of Change and Action Plan based on research findings
- Lead the systems innovation grant, including the Facilitator as direct report and any volunteer and/or student placements

Stakeholder and Collaborative Engagement
- Convene and coordinate Collaborative partner meetings, Advisory Council meetings, and support the Youth Advisory meetings, fostering meaningful participation from all members
- Build and maintain relationships with collaborative partners and project stakeholders
- Ensure the voices of youth and caregivers are embedded in project activities, including consultations and decision-making processes
- Foster relationships and represent the program and organization at network tables, community groups, conferences, etc. as assigned

Research and Evaluation
- Oversee discovery and diagnostic research, community consultations, and data analysis to identify gaps in the justice system.
- Work with the YOF Evaluation Team to develop and implement an evaluation plan, ensuring timely data collection and reporting.

Project Management
- Manage project timelines and resources and monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with OTF reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external facilitators, consultants, and arts-based organizations to deliver on project deliverables.
- Organize a final knowledge-sharing event, showcasing project outcomes and youth-led initiatives.
