Trim Carpenter

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. As a trim carpenter, you will be responsible for installing finish carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, and other interior wood finishes in newly constructed homes.

**Position & Responsibilities**:

- Install interior trim, including doors, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and cabinetry.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
- Ensure all work is done to a high standard of craftsmanship and in compliance with building codes.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to stay on schedule and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report any issues or defects to supervisors.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in trim or finish carpentry.
- Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of residential construction and finish work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Work on homes throughout the Halifax and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
