**Metal Fabricator**

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and drawings to assess & solve technical problems. The Metal Fabricator will be required to fabricate components or structures & perform quality checks. This role will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery such saws, drill press, mag drill, welder, grinders, measuring tools, overhead crane, forklift, oxy-fuel and plasma cutter to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. May occasionally use press brake, and iron worker.

Currently, we are looking for a Metal Fabricator for the following shifts at our **Abbotsford facility.**
- **Day shift hours - 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday.**_
- **Weekend shift hours - 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Friday to Sunday.**_
- **Evening Shift hours - 5:00 pm to 3:30 am Monday to Thursday.**_

**Compensation**
- $32 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to assess materials needed, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal.
- Fabricates parts and structures.
- Solve mathematical & angle problems.
- Perform Quality Control Checks.
- Create custom templates for metal cutting.
- Operate Heavy & light machinery such as: drill, welding machines, Saw, press brakes, shears, cutting torches, grinders.
- Handling material with Forklifts & overhead crane.
- Flame and plasma cutting of parts
- Assemble, fit and weld metal sections and plates to create complete units or subunits.
- Install fabricated components in the final product.
- Preheat work pieces to render them malleable.
- Organize multiple jobs & materials.
- Mentor apprentices & help with their skill development.
- Keep work areas organized and maintain the work & material flow through the shop.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Red Seal Metal Fabricator
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Mechanical & Industry knowledge
- Manual Dexterity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
