**Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Crew Members in the Activity Department are focused on providing an exceptional kayak experience to all clients. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, great communication skills and a willingness to assist guests or fellow employees wherever possible. Job responsibilities include facilitating a variety of activities:, Axe Throwing Tours, Big Creek Kayak Tours, Paddle Boarding Tours, leading team-building initiatives, kids observatory tour, Other Adventure Sports and promoting 3rd Party Rental Services.**
**The #1 priority will be providing an exceptional outdoor experience to our Guests**
**Kayak Guide responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Set up all gear prior to each tour at the launch site, as well as ensuring all participants are properly outfitted for an adventurous and fun experience.
- Safely lead, demonstrate, coach and guide guests through a variety of Kayak Tours.
- Educate guests on kayaking techniques and information related to the ecosystem and biodiversity throughout the tour.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service when communicating with guests while on tour
- Inspect and store all gear including boats, PFD’s, paddles, and other paddling safety equipment properly on a daily basis
- Report any incidents with guests and report on dangers on the creek and issues with equipment to manager.
- Use positive, open, and appropriate communication with all staff members on and off site
- Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site
- Perform other duties as requested
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or those who are graduates of a recognized college/university program
- Effectively speak to an adult or youth demographic, whether it be in a group or individual setting
- Minimize stressful situations and not have a fear of water
- Pay great attention to detail when it comes to following safety policies & procedures
- A strong work ethic, positivity, and a willingness to work in as part of a team are essential
- Preference will be given to those with kayaking experience however not necessary; outdoor recreation, athletics, and/or instructor/supervisor experience is considered an asset
All guides must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and in good physical shape. Guides must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays from **April 27th
- August 31st **and **select weekends from September 1st
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
