Welding Foreman

Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. is a Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Hydrovac and Vacuum Truck Manufacturer and Distributor. With a strong and growing demand for Hydro Excavation Equipment, we’re looking to expand our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, motivate, and support your team to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Conduct stand-up meetings and communicate daily priorities clearly to the team.
- Coordinate workflow from shipping/receiving through to department output.
- Collaborate with the Assembly Foreman and Paint Shop Lead to ensure smooth shop operations.
- Perform quality inspections and resolve issues quickly.
- Oversee scheduling, vacation/PTO requests, and plan overtime when needed.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards, working closely with the Health & Safety team.
- Address conflicts constructively and maintain a positive work environment.
- Participate in weekly production meetings and report regularly to the Production Manager.
- Provide occasional customer support related to welding and fabrication.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience in a fabrication shop environment.
- 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Extensive welding, fabrication, and assembly knowledge.
- CWB Supervisor Certification (asset).
- Strong mechanical skills and tech proficiency.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and lead a team safely toward production goals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- East St. Paul, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Leadership/management: 5 years (preferred)
- Metal fabrication: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CWB Supervisor Certification (preferred)
