**Company Overview**
Macadam Construction is a Halifax-based leader in real estate construction. We manage a wide range of projects including residential subdivisions, commercial plazas, and high-rise developments. We are currently seeking an experienced **Civil Foreman** to join our dynamic team and help lead our site operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise civil construction crews on-site and coordinate daily activities
- Monitor work progress and ensure it aligns with project timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Organize site logistics including equipment, tools, and material deliveries
- Communicate project goals clearly to crew members and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate documentation of site activities and incident reports
- Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

**Job Requirements**
**Language**: English
**Education**: High school diploma required; post-secondary or trade school is an asset
**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil construction, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of site safety procedures and ability to lead hazard assessments
- Ability to read construction drawings and perform layout work
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Proficient with construction tools and equipment
