We currently have an opening for a Production Manager and are looking for an energetic and passionate individual to be part of our Team at our Burlington Location.
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the production teams to ensure safe, consistent and accurate production of high quality products to meet our customers’ needs in the most cost effective manner.
**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS**
- Responsible for the development and implementation of processes and procedures to maximize production, minimize waste, increase capacity and efficiencies and maintain product quality and integrity
- Lead/Sponsor CI Teams for the continued improvement of operations
- Develop and maintain strong safety culture through training, equipment/job design, work assignments and regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain a culture of order, adherence and consistency using tools such as 5S, SOP’s, process mapping
- Ensure product safety and establish high performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and documentation.
- Coach, teach, coordinate and evaluate programs for team members to develop skills advantageous to the company’s needs and goals
- Operational responsibilities include Controlling Costs in:
- Raw ingredients - Packaging and Ingredients
- Direct Labor - Staffing Levels and OT
- Operating Expenses including Overhead Spend
- Develop and implement production standards and operate to consistently meet or exceed these standards
- Work closely with the Maintenance Team to coordinate improvement projects (Capital and Local Budget) and support the maintenance and reliability program
- Work closely with the Quality Team to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Dawn Quality and Food Safety policies
- Support Production Supervisors and Production Team Leads
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/LEVELS OF COMPETENCE**
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience (Food Manufacturing Experience Preferred)
- 3 years of Management Experience Required with a strong background in operations
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Essential
- Computer Skills Required
- Exceptional Organizational Skills with the ability to Prioritize Multiple Tasks
- Proficient in basic math skills
- Must be Mature and have the ability to resolve issues in an organized manner
- Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time
**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**
Reports to: Plant Manager
Supervises: Production Supervisors and Lead Hands
Works with: All other departments
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
Normal office requirements with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
