**Supervisors Description**:
The purpose of this position is to aide labourer’s, prepper's and shingler’s in preparing roof surfaces for roofing installations. Supervisors are responsible for leading shingler’s, labourers and preppers in the removal and disposal of old roofing materials, sweeping and cleaning roof surfaces and eaves troughing, and installing underlayment materials on the roof. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that they use all necessary safety equipment. Supervisors’ main responsibilities are to supervise all workers, ensuring the use of required safety equipment by workers and the overall completion of the project. Various safety, quality control and company documents are filled out by supervisors daily.

**Requirements**:
Supervisors are required to work in extreme temperatures, be able to use basic hand and power tools, and hold valid Ontario Working at Heights certifications (can be trained by Markelangelo’s).

Employees are also required to handle chemicals and must hold a valid WHMIS certification. Chemicals that may be used, but not limited to are;
- Unleaded gasoline and diesel
- Degreasers and cleaners
- Solvent-based caulking
- Asphalt based products

**Markelangelo’s requires all employees to provide a criminal background check.**

**Working Conditions**:
Employees are required to work long shifts (up to 12 hours) in variable weather conditions. All work is performed outdoors and therefor requires that supervisors be able and willing to work and lead others in the following conditions;
- Hot and humid weather over and above 30 degrees Celsius,
- Cold weather below 0 degrees Celsius but not below -30 degrees Celsius,
- Rain, snow, sleet and wind.

**Work Hours**
- 7am start time
- Typical day is from 7am to 5pm
- Overtime is available
- On-call during inclement weather

**Salary**: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- Shingling: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Working at Heights Certification (required)
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- Drivers License (required)

Work Location: In person
