**_Duties & Responsibilities_**
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, wholesale and internal customers;
- Source vendors to determine best pricing and quality objectives;
- Keep up-to-date with latest market trends, current prices, price changes, and promotions/deals; able to negotiate with vendors and wholesale customers for the best pricing and drive sales;
- Develop an understanding of the buying and receiving processes;
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of stock;
- Utilize inventory management system to create and process purchase orders and wholesale sales orders in a timely and accurate manner;
- Resolve problems and discrepancies with delivery dates, quantity, and invoicing of purchased items;
- Track shipments, respond to expedite requests and provide delivery status to relevant parties;
- Assist other team members with transactions when necessary;
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
**_Skills & Requirements_**
- Diploma in supply chain, commerce or related field of study is preferred;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement/purchasing, especially food distribution industry, is preferred; new graduates are also welcome;
- Good command of MS Office; experience in inventory management software is a plus;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills;
- Detailed oriented, has a strong sense of priority along with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team;
- Self starter, proactive and fast learner;
- Ability to speak both English and Cantonese, fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
