This position is accountable to the Director, Capital & Inforce Management, to assist in the execution of various capital & inforce management activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the production of quarterly LICAT filing
- Provide support in the implementation of the LICAT guideline changes and various capital optimization initiatives.
- Conduct analysis and assessment on results
- Implement enhancements to the capital & inforce management process
- Update and create documentation and procedures for processes as appropriate, as well as prepare change management documentation
- Develops solutions/tools and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Breaks down problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Participates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.
- Checks and reviews various outputs from models
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of a University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a similar discipline.
- Completion of at least 4 SOA or equivalent actuarial exams and actively pursuing fellowship.
- Minimum of 2+ year’s experience.
- Working understanding of Corporate Actuarial and/or Pricing analysis methodology & reporting.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Life Insurance products is an asset.
- Knowledge of Moody’s Analytics AXIS is an asset.

**Salary**:
$60,000.00 - $111,700.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
