Trainee Miller

Prairie Flour Mills Ltd. is a Manitoba-based wheat/flour processing company that serves all facets of the North American food industry, including bakery and food service distributors, as well as manufacturers. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Trainee Miller position.

**Responsibilities**:
Milling activities: The individual will be helping the milling supervisors to operate the mill and learn the milling process.

Required to monitor the milling process, check quality and do housekeeping as per instructions.

Ensure good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness, critical control points, and company policies and procedures are followed.

Participate in cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Perform daily tasks, checks and monitoring according to guidelines set out by the supervisor.

Follow Health and Safety guidelines for a safe workplace environment.

Report to supervisor on any activities/tasks that could disrupt production.

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must be physically fit and be able to handle 50lb bags of flour.

Must be willing to work days/afternoon/nights

Training will be provided.

Other duties as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
High school diploma required.

2-3 years experience in manufacturing industry required.

Must be able to handle mechanical problems,

Computer, internet, and Microsoft office skills.

Strong communication skills including verbal and written.

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Must be a Canadian Resident.
