**JOB TITLE**: Health Care Worker (Mental Health) HCW or HCA

**JOB SUMMARY**: The program mandate is to provide support,

care, and assistance for adults (male and female) with mental health conditions in a

community based residential rehabilitative facility. Facilities are 8-10 beds.

Facilities are licensed by Vancouver Coastal Heath and City of Richmond Health.

DUTIES (in compliance with Community Care Act and Facility Policies & Protocols) include:

- following individual client care plans and facility schedules
- administering medications
- following prescribed treatment plans
- meal preparation and service following meal plans
- housecleaning
- laundry
- documentation
- communication with Administrator, Facility Nurse, coworkers, resources
- health and safety of residents and facility in compliance with Policies, Procedures,

and administrative directives.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

Applicants must be: Energetic, Sociable, have Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Experience in the field of mental health would be an asset.
- HCW or HCA certification and BC CARE AIDE REGISTRATION **-BC Care Aide Registry In Good Standing**
- ID: BCID or BC Driver’s License, proof of Canadian citizenship or status
- Current First Aid
- Food Safe Level 1
- COVID immunization, TB test, Hepatitis B and Influenza Vaccination
- English (required)

and will be processed on site.

Orientation shifts and training are provided and paid.

WAGE RATE

UNION: BCGEU, HEU and BENEFITS based on eligibility. Start Rate: $27.92

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $27.92-$29.60 per hour
