Production Coordinator

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for bagging, storing and running the ice production equipment as well as supervising the production technicians.

**Shift**: 2pm to 10 pm Monday to Friday

**Pay**:$28-$34 an hour depending on experience

**Responsibilities**
- Run production equipment and bag and move ice products to skids
- Adjust baggers for different size products
- Record inventory in log book and report inventory numbers to company managers
- Operate forklift, read load sheets and load trucks
- Supervise production workers including training new employees and checking that all employees are performing duties in a safe manner and following Food Safety Handling procedures
- Diagnose problems with production equipment and merchandiser
- Receive and ship ice machines
- Perform light maintenance on freezers and ice machines
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum two years experience diagnosing refrigeration systems, compressors and pumps; experience supervising employees is an asset
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Refrigeration Class B ticket is an asset
- Must hold and maintain forklift operation and G-license driving licenses; DZ license is considered an asset
- Ability to repeatedly lift, push and pull objects weighing 23 kg and to work in a cold environment when required
- Strong work ethic while working independently and in a team and effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong mechanical background
- Able to use a computer

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- diagnosing refrigeration systems, compressors and pumps: 2 years (required)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)
- Class G Licence (required)
- Refrigeration Class B ticket (preferred)
- DZ driving license (preferred)
