**The opportunity**

2024 is a good year for Metro Testing + Engineering. We have been busy, and we grew. We opened a new office and hired additional members to help with our growth. We are looking to continue our success with our clients.

We are in the slower part of the season, but our field testing teams are still busy with our clients to ensure their construction materials meet the specifications and industry standard. We are looking for people who are interested to joint our talent pool and to be considered for future considerations.

Our field-testing technicians visit multiple job sites every day and preform testing on concrete or soils. In addition to in-town work, there are also opportunities for out-of-town work. If you love to be on the road and meeting people, it could be your next opportunity..

No experience is required, and you will be trained by our experienced technicians and receive industry recognised certifications. You could be working with one of teams at our Burnaby, Surrey or Abbotsford office.

**Who we are**

Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the largest materials testing companies in Western Canada with11 offices and over 250 employees. We work with a lot of high-profile clients in their residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. We also provide Engineering consulting services in Materials, Geotechnical and Environmental.

Outside of the Lower Mainland, we have offices in Squamish, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Victoria, Terrace, Prince Ruppert, Fort St John and Edmonton.

**What you will be doing**
- Travelling to construction sites and help our clients to ensure their construction materials meet the specifications and industry standards
- Interpret the test results and to produce reports
- Building relationship with site personnel to foster long term business collaboration

**What you will get**
- Depend on experience, starting wage is between $21-22/hr

**Who we are looking for**
- Interested in career in the Construction Materials Testing industry
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kilos / 50 lbs
- Knowledge or experience with construction materials testing
- Concrete, Soils, Aggregates and Asphalt is an asset
- Graduate of a Civil Engineering Diploma program is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
