As a salesperson at Kawartha Lakes Construction, you will play a crucial role in qualifying and cultivating sales leads, building relationships with potential clients, and guiding them through the KLC Design/Build process. Your goal will be to meet sales targets while ensuring an exceptional and personalized home building experience for our clients.
Please Note: This position pays a base salary plus commissions
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead Qualification and Cultivation: Actively qualify, pursue and cultivate leads:
- Consultative Selling: Understand clients' needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend and present customized home designs, features, and upgrades that align with the client requirements.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients, serving as the main point of contact throughout the pre-sales process and remaining aligned to the project through completion of the build.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of KLC custom-home designs, floor plans, materials selection, construction process, and unique selling propositions to effectively convey their value to clients.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling presentations to showcase KLC's portfolio, home features, benefits, and customization options, addressing any inquiries or concerns clients may have.
- Estimating - while collaborating with the Design and Development teams, you will create estimates for projects based on concept drawings and present a solution that meets the client’s needs
- Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with clients to draft and negotiate sales contracts,
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our design, selections and development teams
- Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our company's offerings and identify new sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7 years progressive experience in project development or sales. High degree of experience with new home builds, renovations and additions
- College diploma, university degree or combined academic background/experience in business administration, project management, construction, and/or engineering
- Knowledge of appropriate legislation including: Occupational Health & Safety Act, Construction regulations
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code & township by-laws and conservation regulations within the KLC service area.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite/365, and other relevant sales tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must have a valid G-License with a clean driving record
Pay: $58,879.00-$67,423.00 per year
